Money stress is one of the most common sources of anxiety I see and yet it’s one of the least talked about honestly.

I recently had the chance to sit down with the Girls Gone Wellness podcast for a conversation that felt refreshing, real, and deeply needed. The episode is called:

“Girl Math Is Out. Financial Calm Is In”

And while the title is playful, the conversation goes much deeper.

We talked about why so many women feel anxious, avoidant, or “behind” when it comes to money and how much of that comes from what we were never taught, what we absorbed growing up, and the social pressure to appear like we’re doing fine even when we’re not.

This wasn’t a conversation about hustle, spreadsheets, or cutting every joy out of your life.

It was a grounded, compassionate conversation about:

• Why money feels so emotional — and why that isn’t a flaw
• How avoidance quietly keeps people stuck
• What “financial calm” looks like in real life
• Why traditional budgets fail so many people
• How simple systems reduce stress
• What I call a margin of safety — and why it’s the difference between a crisis and a manageable problem (check out last week’s newsletter for more on this concept)
• How to start engaging with your finances without shame or overwhelm

We also explored generational money stories, debt, social media pressure, and the constant feeling of trying to build a future inside a system that often feels stacked against you.

If you’ve ever felt embarrassed about money…
If you’ve ever avoided looking at your bank account…
If you’ve ever wondered how you’re supposed to feel secure while juggling rising costs and debt…

This episode is for you.

I hope this episode meets you where you are and reminds you that you’re not broken, behind, or bad with money. You’re living inside a system that never taught most of us how to feel safe with it.
